It's always hard getting that first sentence (let alone word) on paper when you are wanting to write a great piece! Blank. The screen just stares at you and the cursor taunts you; or at least that what it feels like! Mental constipation is the worse. But it doesn't have to keep you from writing! Sure, you may not know what you want to write about, but you do know that you want to write about something! You will never be able to sit at a computer screen without knowing what you want to want to elaborate on. The truth is ...you do know; you just aren't sure how to put your thoughts into words. The solution? Well...just write down EVERYTHING that comes to mind. Then, begin to filter out what feels right and works best for you. When ideas come; it isn't hard to pair it with your emotions. It's all a matter of what feels right. Believe it or not, the mental blockage is just your brain trying to make sense of the MANY great ideas you have. You just need to learn how to process, filter and connect your magnificent ideas with your writing skills! And if you are looking to find inspiration; then you are looking outside of yourself. Think about it. Your ideas come from where? (I'll wait) ...OK! times up! Your ideas come from within, so why look for externals to inspire something that obviously comes from the heart? Writing a good piece is not inspired by outside factors; it's inspired and motivated by what's in your heart and felt within your soul!
